2010 Hangzhou Normal University International Student Scholarship

(Annotation:The eligibility of student for this scholarship of Class A, B and C will be reevaluated each year.)

Class A Scholarships:

Exempt from tuition fee and accommodation fees. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan are provided. Living Expenses: RMB1400/month for graduate students, RMB1200/month for undergraduate students.

Class B Scholarships:

Exempt from tuition fee. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan are provided

Class C Scholarships:

RMB3000-5000/academic year for Chinese language students.)

Eligibility

Basic Requirements: Class A for graduate and undergraduate students; Class B for graduate and undergraduate students; Class C for Chinese language students.

Other Requirements:

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with foreign passports, friendly to China, and in good health.

2. Master's candidate applicants must be graduates of universities which are recognized by the Chinese Government with excellent grades; Undergraduate candidates must have graduated from a foreign or domestic senior high school with excellent grades.

3. Applicants for Class A and B Scholarships should have corresponding Chinese language proficiency and submit related evidence, such as HSK certificate, and other certificates for Chinese language learning and test.

4. Current students are required to do well in school. There are no any in-school violation of school disciplines and regulations, such as coming to work late and leaving early, absenteeism, etc. There are no any outside-school violation of Chinese laws and regulations. They have to top his grade or class and have no any make-up examinations. Actively participate in the volunteer and social activities held by the Hangzhou city, university and Department.

5. Applicants haven't been recipient of any other scholarships.

Application Materials (in duplicate)

For Class A and B Scholarships:

1. (Class A or B);

2. A photocopy of the passport page with your photo on it;

3. Copy of Diploma and Transcript (Documents in language other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English); Current students should additionally provide the letters of recommendation from the related institutes they are studying in.

4. Certificates of Chinese Proficiency (It could be the certificates of Chinese language learning or HSK);

5. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Record Form;

6. Personal Statements, indicating the applicant's family financial conditions, Chinese learning background, academic background, work experience, study plan and goals in China, and post graduation personal development plan, etc. The statement should be no less than 200 words, printed in either Chinese or English and signed by the applicant.

7. Support Materials: If there are any published papers, awards certificates and other materials used to prove the academic achievement and research ability of applicant, please provide the title and abstract of your published paper, journal name and other certificates & documents of evidence.

For Class C Scholarships:

1. (Class C);

2. A photocopy of the passport page with your photo on it;

3. Copy of Diploma and Transcript (Documents in language other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English); Current students should additionally provide the letters of recommendation from related institutes they are studying in and the transcript of last semester.

4. Certificates of Chinese Proficiency (It could be the certificates of Chinese language learning or HSK);

5. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Record Form;

6. Personal Statements, indicating the applicant's Chinese learning background, study plan and goals in China, etc. The statement should be no less than 200 words, printed in either Chinese or English and signed by the applicant.

7. Support Materials: Awards certificates or documents of evidence which prove the applicants participate in all kinds of activities.

The applicants' eligibility of the above-listed scholarships is not applicable to inter-college exchange students. All the application materials will not be returned.
